Lyca Productions last year announced Vignesh Shivan as the director of Ajith Kumar’s 62nd movie. Wikki, a huge fan of AK, wrote on social media that directing his idol was the best thing that had ever happened to him.
Recent reports claimed that Lyca Productions and Ajith Kumar had changed the director for ‘AK62’. Vignesh Shivan made some changes to his social media account, indirectly indicating that he is not involved in the long-awaited movie. Wikki used to have the tag “director AK62” in his Twitter bio. He has changed that tag to “Wikki6”. He also changed Ajith Kumar’s cover photo to a motivational quote.
We have already reported to you that Magizh Thirumeni will be the new director for AK62. The film will be shot on a massive budget of Rs 220 crores. The team hopes to release the film in Diwali 2023. Magizh Thirumeni has been hired for a huge remuneration of AK62. Arun Raj (Thadam fame), Sam CS, or Santhosh Nayanan are expected to score the music.
