Netflix India has revealed the list of the top 10 most-watched movies on its platform in 2023. The list is based on the number of hours that each title was viewed during its first 28 days of release. Here are the movies that made it to the top 10:
1. Vaathi: The crime thriller starring Ajith Kumar, Manju Warrier and Samuthirakani was the most-watched movie on Netflix India in 2023. The plot centers on a huge bank heist that takes a sinister turn when an outsider referred to only as “Dark Devil” begins to seize control of the theft. The film was directed by debutant Siva Kumar and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films.
2. Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga: The comedy caper starring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Rajkummar Rao was the second most-watched movie on Netflix India in 2023. The film follows three friends who plan to rob a jewellery store but end up being chased by a corrupt cop, a gangster and a media mogul. The film was directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan.
3. Kuttey: The dark comedy starring Arjun Kapoor, Tabu and Konkona Sen Sharma was the third most-watched movie on Netflix India in 2023. The film tells the story of six siblings who plot to kill their abusive father but face unexpected consequences. The film was directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Luv Ranjan.
4. Raees: The action drama starring Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui was the fourth most-watched movie on Netflix India in 2023. 6. Luther: The Fallen Sun: The sci-fi thriller starring John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Saif Ali Khan was the sixth most-watched movie on Netflix India in 2023. The film is based on the novel by Ashwin Sanghi and follows a professor who uncovers a conspiracy involving a secret society, a solar flare and a global catastrophe. The film was directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
7. Crisis: The crime drama starring Gary Oldman, Armie Hammer and Evangeline Lilly was the seventh most-watched movie on Netflix India in 2023.
