Thunivu, the crime thriller starring Ajith Kumar, Manju Warrier and Samuthirakani, has become the most-watched movie on Netflix in 2023. The film, which premiered on the streaming platform on February 8, has been viewed by over 100 million subscribers worldwide, breaking the record held by Extraction (2020).
Thunivu revolves around a major bank heist that takes an unexpected twist when a mysterious interloper known only as Dark Devil begins to hijack the operation. The film is directed by debutant Siva Kumar and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. The film also features John Kokken, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Mansoor Ali Khan in supporting roles.
Both critics and moviegoers have praised the film highly for its gripping plot, stunning action sequences and stellar performances.
